Synopses
At risk of losing contact with her daughter, Paloma moves to a larger city in search of the financial means to prevent that separation. During her first few days in the city, she crosses paths with the man who murdered Rikely, her best friend. The prospect of securing justice—combined with the indifference of official channels—leads her to embark on a dangerous, solitary investigation to bring the criminal to justice, even as the pursuit pulls her further away from her ultimate goal: keeping her daughter close. This journey forces her to confront prejudices and forms of violence she has never before experienced.
